Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended 0.7% or 73.27 points down at 10,411.77 points at the closing of Tuesday’s trading session.
The telecoms sector declined 2% after Ooredoo slid 2.39%, while the real estate sector shed 1.25%, pressured by Ezdan Holding’s 1.87% drop.
The banks sector fell 0.5% led by the Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ), which lost 1.89%, while Doha Bank, Qatar National Bank (QNB), and Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) lost 0.99%, 0.74%, and 0.49%, respectively.
On the other hand, the transportation sector rose 0.77%, topped by Milaha’s 1.5% gain.
Liquidity reached QAR 284.14 million on Tuesday, compared to QAR 236.8 million on Monday, while traded volume increased to 10.87 million shares against 7.85 million shares in the previous session.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume with 2.2 million shares traded, while QNB’s stock was the value leader with QAR 46.7 million.
