Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session down, pressured by the drop of four sectors.
By 10:05 am Qatar time, the general index declined or 95.70 points, or 1.06%, to 8,833.96 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 41.2 million after 2.6 million shares were changed hands through 838 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s fours losers falling 0.51% as Barwa Real Estate slid 7.02%.
The industrial sector went down 0.26% after Qatari Investors Group decreased 3.36%,
Meanwhile, the telecommunications sector levelled up 2.66% on the back of Vodafone Qatar’s 8.78% surge.
The banking sector rose 0.15% as Qatar National Bank grew 0.49%.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led the bourse’s trading volume with 2 million shares, generating QAR 17.03 million.
