Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday, the last trading session during 2018 with a positive performance after its benchmark levelled up 15.29 points, or 0.15%, to 10,299.01 points.
The QSE’s trading volume stood at 7.09 million shares, down from 7.41 million in the session before, whereas liquidity jumped to QAR 175.79 million, from QAR 130.54 million.
The real estate sector led gainers with 1.32% as Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Real Estate Development Company stocks’ went up 2.20%, and 0.78%, respectively.
The banks and financial services sector inched up 0.57% after Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock increased 0.52%.
On the flipside, the industrials sector was the worst performer after dropping 0.11% as Gulf Warehousing Company’s stock tumbled 2.30%.
Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s stock topped risers after adding 10%, while the stock of Qatar Islamic Insurance Company (QISI) led losers with 2.86%.
Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, down 0.96%, was the most active in all terms after 2.1 million shares were exchanged, generating QAR 28.2 million.
