QSE ends Monday down on real estate, goods sectors

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday in the red zone, falling 0.11% or 10.84 points to reach 10,112.39 points.

The real estate sector declined 2.6% as Ezdan Holding Group retreated 4.7%, while the consumer goods and services sector shed 0.16% after Medicare Group lost 1.77%.

On the other hand, the telecoms sector rose 0.9% as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar gained 0.95% and 0.57%, respectively.

Traded volume increased to 14.94 million shares on Monday against 8.56 million shares on Sunday, while liquidity soared to QAR 362.49 million from QAR 223.16 million.

Qatar First Bank's (QFB) stock led in terms of trading volume with 6.23 million shares exchanged at a turnover of QAR 54,410.

Earlier on Monday, the main index shed 0.24% reaching 10,099.08 points.
