Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Monday’s trading session in the green, supported by the growth of five sectors.
The main index rose 36.59 points, or 0.34%, to close at 10,704.73 points.
The QSE’s liquidity increased to QAR 303.43 million on Monday from QAR 164.93 million on Sunday, while the trading volume went up to 10.34 million shares against 5.53 million in the previous session.
The real estate sector topped gainers with 2.70% on the back of Ezdan Holding Group’s 3.38% increase, while the industrial sector levelled up 0.54% as Mesaieed Petrochemical went up 2.01%.
Similarly, the banking sector inched up 0.06% after Ahli bank jumped 6.86%.
On the negative side, the goods and services sector headed decliners with 0.60% as Widam Food Company tumbled 10%.
By the end of the session, Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which stood at QAR 198.50, led the bourse in terms of liquidity with 64.09 million, while United Development Bank’s (UDB) stock, which advanced 3.16%, generated the highest trading volume with 1.94 million shares.
