Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday’s trading session in the red on the back of the massive drop of sectors.
The general index declined 275 points, or 3.16%, to 8,454.18 points.
By the end of the session, the bourse's liquidity rose 7% to QAR 265.46 million from QAR 248.07 million on Thursday, while trading volume went up 22% to 13.41 million shares from 10.99 million in the previous session.
The transportation sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 2.2% on the back of Qatar Navigation and Qatar Gas Transport which tumbled 3.05% and 2.4%, respectively.
Similarly, the banking sector went down 2.12% as Al Khalij Commercial Bank lost 3.73%.
Aamal Company’s stock, which grew 2.71%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 4.33 million shares, generating QAR 41.31 million.
