Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday in the red zone, after losing 0.21% or 18.56 points, reaching 8,904.16 points.
The insurance sector decreased 1.58%, and the transportation sector declined 1.15% as Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) dropped 2.08% and 0.95%, respectively.
The industrials sector shed 0.23% after Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding tumbled 0.76%, followed by Qatar Electricity and Water Company (QEWC) with 0.69%, Industries Qatar with 0.64%, and Aamal with 0.2%.
On the other hand, the banks sector rose 0.43% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) levelled up 1.3%.
Qatar Insurance Company Group was the worst performer with 2.36%, whereas Doha Insurance led risers with 4.32%.
Traded volume declined to 5.15 million shares on Sunday against 8.08 million on Thursday, while liquidity decreased to QAR 115.63 million from QAR 186.19 million.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume with 1.74 million shares, increasing 0.12%, while QNB’s stock was the most active in terms of traded value with a turnover of QAR 27.2 million.
