Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index fell by 23.3 points, or 0.23%, to close at 10,235.76 points, on Sunday.
The insurance sector was the top decliner with 0.94%, while the banking and real estate sectors went up 0.19% and 1.81%, respectively.
Widam Food headed fallers and slid 2.48%%, whereas Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance led risers after adding 9.96%.
The QSE’s liquidity shrank 4.9% to QAR 245.28 million on Sunday, compared to QAR 257.88 million in the previous session, while trading volume retreated 13.6% to 16.62 million shares from 19.24 million on Thursday.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which advanced 0.22%, led the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 38.19 million, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which upped 4.52%, registered the highest trading volume of 5.72 million shares.
