Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index fell 44.25 points, or 0.41%, to close at 10,668.14 points on Sunday.
The QSE’s liquidity shrank to QAR 164.93 million on Sunday, from QAR 324.27 million in the previous session, while trading volume retreated to 5.53 million shares, against 8.07 million on Thursday.
The industrials sector headed decliners with 0.80%, pressured by Industries Qatar, the second heaviest-weighted stock in the general index, which plunged 1.81%.
On the other hand, Qatar National Cement topped gainers and soared 4.48% to QAR 73.50 billion, its highest level since August 2017.
Meanwhile, the banking sector went down 0.16% after Ahli BanK dropped 7.90%.
The telecommunications sector led risers with 0.12% as Vodafone Qatar and Ooredoo grew 0.25% and 0.04%, respectively.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which was stable at QAR 198.50, registered the highest turnover with QAR 25.6 million, while Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing’s (QAMCO) stock, down 0.82%, topped the QSE in terms of trading volume with 869,120 shares.
