Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index fell by 63.42 points, or 0.64%, to close at 9,890.30 points on Sunday.
The QSE’s liquidity shrank to QAR 133.15 million on Sunday from QAR 205.21 million in the previous session, while the trading volume rose to 6.92 million shares, compared to 6.85 million on Thursday.
The banking sector went down 0.71% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) dropped 1.06%.
Similarly, the industrials sector declined by 0.68% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing slid 3.02%.
On the other hand, the insurance sector topped risers with 0.21%, headed by Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance which grew by 10%.
The real estate sector inched up 0.08%, after Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development and Ezdan Holding rose by 2.43% and 0.78%, respectively.
United Development’s stock, unchanged at QAR 13.47, registered the highest trading volume with 1.14 million shares, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, down 0.72%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity of QAR 19.47 million.
