Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday in the green zone after increasing 0.42% or 34.75 points reaching 8,395.52 points.
Masraf Al Rayan’s stock rose 2.4%, followed by Industries Qatar with 1.3%, and the Qatar National Bank (QNB) with 0.97%.
The Industrials sector increased 0.92% after Gulf International Services’ stock levelled up 3.8%, while the banks sector went up 0.82% as Islamic Holding Group’s stock gained 3.5%.
On the other hand, the insurance sector fell 0.94% after Qatar Insurance Company’s (QIC) stock dropped 3.34%.
Qatari German Company for Medical Devices’ stock led QSE’s risers with 5.03%, whereas Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution’s stock was the worst performer with 4%, while one stock remained stable.
The QSE’s liquidity surged to QAR 295.17 million on Sunday, against QAR 167.77 million on Thursday, while trading volume rose 12.89 million shares from 12.41 million.
Investment Holding Group’s stock, up 0.25%, topped the QSE in terms of traded volume after 2.6 million shares were exchanged, while QNB’s stock led in terms of liquidity with a turnover of QAR 72.3 million.
