Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index rose 62 points, or 0.58%, to close at 10,712.39 points on Thursday.
The transportation sector topped risers with 1.8%, whereas the insurance and banking sectors fell 0.01% and 0.1%, respectively.
Qatar National Cement Company led gainers and soared 10%, while Qatar Oman Investment headed decliners with 3.81%.
The QSE’s liquidity leapt 75.3% to QAR 324.27 million on Thursday, from QAR 185.02 million in the previous session, while trading volume went up 6.6% to 8.08 million shares, against 7.58 million on Wednesday.
Qatar Fuel’s (WOQOD) stock, up 2.81%, registered the highest trading value of QAR 46.8 million, while Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing’s (QAMCO) stock, down 0.41%, led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 1.05 million shares.
