QSE ends Tuesday in red

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index fell by 8.76 points, or 0.09%, to close at 10,217.92 points on Tuesday.

The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 261.79 million on Tuesday, compared to QAR 288.99 million in the previous session, while trading volume shrank to 10.87 million shares from 15.43 million on Monday.

The transportation sector led decliners and shed 0.92% led by Gulf Warehousing which tumbled 1.87%.

On the other hand, the banking sector increased 0.10% after Qatar Islamic Bank grew 0.83%.

Islamic Holding Group headed fallers with 3.42%, while Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance topped risers after adding 3.53%.

Ezdan Holding’s stock, which upped 0.87%, registered the highest trading volume with 2.39 million shares, while the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which inched down 0.01%, led QSE in terms of turnover of QAR 52.29 million.
