QSE ends Tuesday up amid heavy trade

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of all sectors amid heavy trade.

The general index rose 1.39%, or 110.21 points, to 8,033.28 points.

By the end of Tuesday’s trades, liquidity levelled up to QAR 213.08 million from QAR 172.14 in the last session, while the trading volume hiked to 12.37 million shares from 6.81 million shares on Monday.

All sectors edged up. The real estate sector added 4.47% after Ezdan Holding Group's stock soared 6.26%.

The industrial sector gained 2%, boosted by Investment Holding Group’s 3.79 hike.

The banking sector went up 0.64%, after the Commercial Bank’s stock jumped 3.80%.

On Tuesday, nine sectors dropped, led by the cinema sector with 7.96% slide.

Vodafone Qatar was the most actively-traded stock on the QSE in terms of volume, with 3.3 million shares, generating a liquidity of QAR 23.1 million.
