QSE ends Wednesday in green amid high liquidity

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index rose 169.59 points, or 1.71%, to close at 10,105.06 points on Wednesday.

The QSE’s liquidity leapt to SAR 558.34 million on Wednesday from SAR 327.55 million in the previous session, while trading volume climbed to 19.64 million shares, compared to 11.04 million on Tuesday.

The goods sector led risers and added 2.77% after Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution advanced 9.91%.

Meanwhile, the banking sector grew 1.74% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) rose 2.09%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector fell 4.02% after Ezdan Holding and Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development retreated 7.65% and 0.72%, respectively.

United Development’s stock, which upped 3.78%, registered the highest trading volume with 3.76 million shares, while QNB’s stock spearheaded the QSE in terms of liquidity with 107.91 million.
