Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, encouraged by the growth of five sectors.
The general index rose 28.6 points, or 0.32%, to finish at 8,950.6 points.
The bourse’s liquidity increased 57.8% to QAR 794.35 million on Wednesday from QAR 503.33 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume decreased 26.3% to 8.4 million shares against 11.39 million in the previous session.
The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.8%, as Vodafone Qatar levelled up 2.6%.
On the flipsdie, the real estate and industrial sectors headed the bourse’s decliners falling 1.2% and 0.63%, respectively.
Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which advanced 1%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with 114.48 million, while Vodafone Qatar’s stock, which rose 2.6%, topped the market in terms of trading volume with 3.15 million shares.
