QSE ends Wednesday in red for 4th straight session

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index slid 36.97 points, or 0.35%, to close at 10,650.31 points on Wednesday.

The QSE’s liquidity retreated to QAR 185.02 million on Wednesday, from QAR 222.73 million in the previous session, while trading volume fell to 7.58 million shares, against 7.97 million on Tuesday.

The industrials sector led decliners with 0.96% after Industries Qatar went down 1.64%.

Meanwhile, the banking sector dropped 0.05% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank (QNB) fell 6.13%.

On the other hand, the goods sector rose 0.25%, supported by the 1.79% growth of Mannai Corp.

Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution headed fallers after declining 7.83%, while Qatar General Insurance topped risers with 3.88%.

Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) stock, which grew 2.44%, registered the highest trading volume of 1.88 million shares, while Doha Bank’s stock, which added 3.37%, topped the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 35.61 million.
