Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) added 3.33% or 365.08 points during this week’s trading to close at 1,1320.39 points.
The market turnover surged 1.09% in week, reaching QAR 2.14 billion compared with QAR 1.93 billion in the last week. The trading volume went up 1.8% to 50 million stocks compared with 49.11 stocks a week earlier.
The market capitalization climbed QAR 18.98 billion ($5.21 billion) up by 3.24% w-o-w reaching QAR 605.35 billion, compared with QAR 586.37 billion in the previous week.
The market’s sectors advanced collectively , topped by the insurance sector as it added 9.66%, while the real estate sector was the sole decliner as it eased around 2%.
Out of 44 stocks traded through this week, advancers outnumbered decliners by 25 to 18, where Qatar Insurance was the top gainer as it added 12.02%, while Cinema was the steepest as it lost 15.5%.
Qatar National Bank came as the best performer in terms of turnover, where it recorded trading value of QAR 268.15 million up on trading 1.62 million shares, up 5.55% on weekly basis.
