Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday with a growth of 0.46% or 46.08 points to the level of 9,996.45 points, recording its sixth rise in a row and nearing the level of 10,000 points.
Trading volume decreased 29.4% to 7.47 million shares and turnover shrank 17.7% to QAR 299.21 million.
The insurance was the best performing sector as it advanced 2.5%, while the consumer goods and services was the worst after falling 0.66%.
Qatari German for Medical Devices led gainers by adding 4.3%, while Qatar and Oman Investment topped losers by dropping 2%.
Masraf Al Rayan made the highest trading activity with a volume of 925,000 shares exchanged at QAR 31.3 million. The stock fell 0.29%.
The bourse’s main gauge increased yesterday by 0.09%.
