QSE faces another day in red; 72 points down

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Wednesday at the level of 9,405.38 points after moving down by 0.76% or 71.71 points.

Al Rayan Islamic Index also fell 0.66% to 3,456.56 points, and the All Shares Index dropped 0.89% to 2,509.14 points.

Trading volume came to 5.59 million shares worth QAR 212.78 million through 3,223 trades, compared to 4.22 million shares exchanged yesterday through 2,753 transactions worth QAR 179.44 million.

The banking sector topped the green list as it went 2.07% higher, while real estate was the lowest with a decrease of1.02%.

Out of 38 companies, 10 shares closed higher, 26 others closed in red and the two remaining stood at the same rates.

Ezdan Holding was the top performing share after growing 1.83%, whereas Medicare Group was the weakest with a fall of 5.6%.

Gulf International was the most active in terms of volume and values after 1.42 million shares were traded at QAR 62 million.

The main index closed yesterday with a decline of 2.01% or 195 points to the level of 9,477.09 points.
