Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance on Tuesday, as the general index declined 0.46% or 47.23 points to reach 10,314.2 points.
The banks sector led losers with a 0.67% decline as Ahli Bank, Islamic Holding Group, National Leasing Holding Co, and Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding slid 9.86%, 2.62%, 1.91%, and 1.5%, respectively.
The consumer staples sector fell 0.51% as Widam Food Company, Mannai Corporations, and Medicare Group sank 1.53%, 1.19%, and 0.89%, respectively.
The real estate sector levelled down 0.35% as United Development Co and Barwa Real Estate tumbled 7.09% and 2.01%, respectively.
On the flipside, the telecom sector rose 0.29% as Ooredoo Qatar increased 0.5%. The industrial sector added 0.01% after Industries Qatar and Aamal Co gained 0.53% and 0.42%, respectively.
Turnover amounted to QAR 665.89 million on Tuesday, compared to QAR 567.9 million on Monday. Trading volume reached 16.19 million shares, compared to 16.1 million shares.
The Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) was the value leader and most active stock after generating QAR 138.82 million from the exchange of 4.51 million shares.
