Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell at Sunday’s open by 0.64% or 64.18 points to the level of 9.891.81 points.
Trading volume reached 1.5 million shares exchanged at QAR 45.83 million through 549 transactions.
The insurance sector declined 1.12% as Islamic Insurance and Qatar Insurance shrank 1.64% and 1.4% respectively.
The transportation sector slid 0.97% due to a 2% fall in Milaha, and the real estate sector slipped 0.83%, dragged by a fall of 1.4% in Ezdan Holding.
The banking sector shrank 0.59% as Al Khaliji Bank was the worst performing stock after dropping by 3.4%.
On the flipside, the consumer goods and services sector rose 0.69%, backed by an increase of 2.7% in Medicare Group.
