QSE falls 18.7 pts at Sunday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) declined 0.19% or 18.7 points to reach 9,920.88 points in Sunday’s early trades.

By 10:15 am Qatar time, five sectors declined, led by the transportation sector with 1.01%.

The insurance sector lost 0.68% as Qatar Insurance Co decreased 0.87%, while the consumer goods and services sector went down 0.44% after Qatar Fuel (Woqod) tumbled 2.23% and Qatari German for Medical Devices levelled down 1.14%.

The industrials sector shed 0.38% as Industries Qatar fell 0.96%, followed by Gulf International Services with 0.86%, while the telecoms sector edged down 0.06% after Ooredoo decreased 0.1%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 5.71% as Ezdan surged 9.88%, while the banks sector inched up 0.07% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) increased 1.1%.

Traded volume reached 3.24 million shares, exchanged through 908 transactions, with a liquidity of QAR 54.52 million.
