QSE falls 22.63 pts at Wednesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 0.22% or 22.63 points to reach 10,102.81 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, most of the sectors declined, with the exception of the consumer goods and services sector which edged up 0.03% and the insurance sector which remained stable.

The transportation sector declined 0.32% as Gulf Warehousing and Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) lost 0.58% and 0.47%, respectively.

The industrials sector shed 0.27% after Aamal decreased 2.76% and Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding went down 0.34%.

The banks sector tumbled 0.24% after Al Khalij Commercial Bank, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Masraf Al Rayan, and Qatar International Islamic Bank levelled down 1.02%, 0.59%, 0.58%, and 0.49%, respectively.

The real estate sector fell 0.19%, while the telecoms sector inched down 0.05% as Vodafone Qatar decreased 0.33%.

Liquidity reached QAR 6.74 million after 256,380 shares were exchanged through 218 transactions.

Al Khalij Commercial Bank led in terms of trading volume with 61,730 shares traded, while Gulf Warehousing was the most active stock in terms of traded value with a liquidity of QAR 958,000.
