Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Tuesday’s trading session in the red, dragged by the drop of three sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 0.24% to 9628.21 points, shedding 24.36 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 22.04 million after 1.42 million shares were exchanged through 420 transactions.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 0.26% after Barwa Real Estate dropped 0.52%.
Similarly, the industrial sector decreased 0.25% as Industries Qatar levelled down 1.05%, while the banking sector inched down 0.13% due to Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) 3.60% decline.
On the other hand, the transportation sector headed the bourse's gainers adding 0.22% after Qatar Gas Transport (Nakilat) grew 0.89%.
Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which retreated 0.63%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 5.8 million, while QFB’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 638,700 shares.
