QSE falls 33 pts early Monday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading session down, dragged by the drop of six sectors.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, the main index fell 0.33 % or 33.46 points to reach 10,250.26 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 11.4 million after 719,500 shares were traded through 682 transactions.

The industrial sector topped the decliners falling 0.43% as Gulf International Services went down 1.67%.

Similarly, the banking sector retreated 0.39% on the back of Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) 30.7% drop.

Meanwhile, the insurance sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.71% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance rose 3.43%.

QAMCO’s stock, which plunged 0.22%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 470,400 shares, generating QAR 6.3 million in liquidity.
