Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index dropped 608.69 points, or 5.68%, to close at 10,111 points in February.
The QSE’s trading volume declined 22.5% to 169.24 million shares, while liquidity fell 11.06% to QAR 5.149 million at the end of the second month of 2019.
Market capitalisation retreated 6.14% month-on-month to QAR 578.05 billion, from QAR 615.862 billion at the end of January.
The real estate sector led decliners after plunging 12.75%, followed by the insurance and telecommunications sectors which went down 9.53% and 8.05%, respectively.
The services sector was the only riser with 0.17%.
