Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Thursday’s trading session in red territory, pressured by the drop of four sectors.
By 09:50 am Qatar time, the general index went down 0.77% to 10,120.67 points, losing 78.41 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 69.4 million after 754,700 shares were traded through 524 transactions.
The goods sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 4.82% as Qatar Fuel (Woqod) plunged 7.99%, while the banking sector retreated 0.33% as Qatar Oman Investments and the heavyweight Qatar National Bank levelled down 1.69% and 0.50%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the transportation sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.48% as Qatar Gas Transportation (Nakilat) grew 0.95%.
Woqod’s stock led the market in terms of trading volume with 418,400 shares, generating QAR 66.7 million in liquidity.
