QSE falls at Tuesday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a negative performance at Tuesday’s early trades.

The general index fell 0.12% or 12.7 points to reach 10,926 points by 9:14am Qatar time.

The real estate sector led losers with a 0.36% decline as Ezdan Holding Group and United Development Co fell 0.63% and 0.46%, respectively.

The transportation sector sank 0.28% after Nakilat tumbled 0.64%.

The banks sector also decreased 0.06%, while the consumer staples and services sector sank 0.07%.

The insurance sector rose 0.72%, followed by the telecom sector at 0.13%.

The market saw trading of 3.62 million shares through 1,120 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 161.43 million.

Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock after trading 941,710 shares, while Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Co was the value leader with a turnover of QAR 37.68 million.
