QSE falls at Wednesday’s open on real estate, banks sectors

Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) decreased 0.07% or 6.23 points, reaching 8,889.41 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, the real estate sector shed 0.63% as Mazaya Qatar and Ezdan Holding Group levelled down 1.15% and 0.89%, respectively.

The consumer goods and services sector lost 0.48% after Qatar Fuel (Woqod) dropped 0.93% and Widam Food went down 0.92%.

The banks sector declined 0.28% as Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding and Qatar First Bank (QFB) tumbled 1.84% and 0.66%, respectively.

The insurance sector fell 0.22% after Doha Insurance Company retreated 5.11%, followed by Al Khaleej Takaful Group with 3.24%, while the telecoms sector inched down 0.09%.

On the other hand, the transportation sector rose 0.53% as Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) increased 0.53%, and the industrial sector grew 0.16% after Qatari Investor Group and Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding gained 1.39% and 0.7%, respectively.

Traded volume reached 816,850 shares, through 416 transactions, generating QAR 19.07 million.
