QSE falls in early trade on industrial, banks stocks

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock exchange (QSE), on Tuesday, declined in early trading by 0.01% or 0.07 point to the level of 10,428.02 points.

Trading volume reached 368,420 shares exchanged at QAR 11.39 million.

By 10:00am Doha time, the telecom sector shrank 0.27% due to a fall of 0.64% in Vodafone Qatar and 0.20% in Ooredoo.

The industrial sector dropped 0.10% due to a decrease of 1.32% in Aamal; the banking sector retreated 0.09% as Qatar First Bank slid 0.39%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 0.42%, backed by a rise of 0.73% and 0.42% in Ezdan and Mazaya Qatar.

Out of 25 companies, five stocks opened in green topped by Alijarah, up 2.28%, while 14 others declined and the remaining six were flat.

Alijarah topped gainers with a growth of 2.28%.

Alijarah made the biggest trading volume activity with 99,540 shares, while, QNB made the highest turnover of QAR 2.9 million.
