Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday’s trading session with a negative performance after its main index levelled down 4.65 points, or 0.04%, to 10,653.57 points.
The QSE’s trading volume stood at 9.27 million shares, down from 10.90 million on Thursday, while liquidity slumped to QAR 229.42 million, from QAR 348.76 million.
The banks and financial services sector inched down 0.32% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock shed 0.50%, while the real estate sector went down 0.31% after Mazaya Real Estate Development Company’s stock lost 1.52%.
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services sector edged up 0.39% as Qatari German for Medical Devices‘(QG Medical) stock increased 1.80%.
Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s stock led losers after falling 6%, while the stock of Qatar Islamic Insurance Company (QISI) topped gainers with 3.62%.
Industries Qatar’s stock, which grew 0.49%, led the bourse in terms of traded value after generating QAR 30.86 million, while Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, down 0.77%, generated the highest trading volume through 2.02 million exchanged shares.
