Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday’s trading session with a negative performance after its benchmark tumbled 31.14 points, or 0.29%, reaching 10,689.17 points.
The QSE’s trading value slumped to QAR 148.47 million, from QAR 317.12 million on Thursday, while traded volume stood at 5.60 million shares, compared to 9.54 million in the previous session.
The insurance sector fell 2.09% as Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s stock slid 5.98%, while Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance’s (AKHI) stock rose 4.71%.
The banks and financial services sector shed 0.56% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock dipped 1.01%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector added 1.93% as the stocks of Ezdan Holding Group and Mazaya Real Estate Development Company levelled up 3.01%, and 2.68%, respectively.
The industrials sector inched up 0.27% after Qatari Investors Group (QIGD) gained 1.24%.
Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which inched down 0.82%, led the bourse in terms of trading value after generating QAR 30.5 million, while Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, which grew 0.33%, posted the highest traded volume with 1.1 million shares.
