QSE gains 0.14% at Monday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a positive performance in Monday’s early trades, backed by the rise of four sectors led by the real estate and industrial.

The general index went up 0.14% or 15.42 points to reach 10,900.12 points.

The real estate sector rose 0.40% as Barwa Real Estate and Ezdan Holding Group gained 1.12% and 0.26% respectively.

The industrial sector went up 0.20% after Gulf International Services (GIS) and Qatari Investors Group (QIG) grew 1.47% and 0.54% respectively.

On the flipside, the telecom sector topped losers with a 0.37% decline as Ooredoo went down 0.46%.

The market saw trading of 710,800 shares through 365 transactions, with a turnover of QAR 29.8 million.

Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) topped gainers with a 0.87% rise, with a turnover of QAR 10.73 million generated from the exchange of 308,500 shares.

Islamic Holding Group (IHG) topped gainers after rising 1.85%, while Medicare Group was the worst performer with a 2.02% decline.
