Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Monday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of five sectors.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index grew 0.23% to 8,928.58 points, adding 20.55 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 39.06 million after 1.87 million shares changed hands through 706 transactions.
The insurance sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 1.14% as Doha Insurance rose 3.30%.
Likewise, the industrial sector jumped 0.48% after the 0.81% increase of Industries Qatar.
Meanwhile, the goods and services sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 0.74% as Salam International declined 3.33%, while the banking sector inched down 0.03% on the back of National Leasing Holding’s 1.55% drop.
Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding’s stock, which advanced 1.88%, led the QSE in terms of trading volume with 445,770 shares, while Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which levelled up 0.57%, headed the market in terms of liquidity with QAR 7.96 million.
