Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 235.92 points, or 2.61%, to 9,259.95 points in a week, marking its second successive increase.
Market capitalisation went up 2.13% to QAR 504.19 billion in the week ended 5 July, compared to QAR 493.69 billion a week earlier.
A group of six sectors rose, led by the industrials, telecommunication, banks, and real estate sectors, which added 3.73%, 2.54%, 2.42%, and 2.04%, respectively.
Also, 34 stocks levelled up over the week, topped by Qatar First Bank (QFB), which soared 10.47%; while other 10 sectors declined, led by Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution, which dropped 9.77%.
Market volume reached 43.18 million shares, while liquidity amounted to QAR 1.036 billion and transactions surged 20.41% to 16,360.
