Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose at Tuesday’s open by 0.29% or 26.25 points to the level of 9,021.37 points.
By 09:36 am Doha time, trading volume reached 56,880 shares exchanged through 87 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 3.55 million.
The index was backed by a rise in three sectors, topped by the banks and financial services sector (+0.6%) and the services sector (+0.49%).
Masraf Al Rayan rose 0.88%, while Qatar Islamic Bank and Qatar National Bank grew by the same percentage of 0.79%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector declined 0.12% as Ezdan Holding fell 0.17% and United Development shrank 0.12%.
Ezdan witnessed the biggest trading volume activity with 11,450 shares exchanged, while Qatar Electricity and Water made the highest turnover of QAR 1.8 million.
