Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose 0.32% or 33.28 points to close at 10,461.81 points on Tuesday.
Trading volume increased to 15.7 million shares from 13.25 million shares exchanged on Monday, as turnover rose to QAR 391.76 million from QAR 333.76 million.
The industrial sector topped gainers and added 0.72% as Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) grew 2.2%, followed by Industries Qatar by 1.56%.
The real estate sector levelled up 0.47% backed by Barwa Real Estate and Mazaya Qatar which increased 2.16% and 0.7%, respectively.
The banks sector added 0.18%, supported by the increase of Islamic Holding Group by 5%.
On the other hand, the insurance and transport sectors inched down 0.52% and 0.06%, respectively.
Vodafone Qatar recorded the highest traded volume by 5.79 million shares at a value of QAR 54.98 million. The stock rose 4.36%.
