Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Wednesday’s mid trading by 0.39% or 38.1 points to the level of 9,921.7 points.
Trading volume reached 4.95 million shares as 2,704 trades were executed, with a turnover of QAR 163.3 million.
The consumer goods and services was the best performing sector after rising 1.95%, followed by the banking with an increase of 0.66%, as Dlala Holding topped gainers by adding 4.36%.
The insurance sector fell alone by 0.88% as Doha Insurance led decliners after dropping 5.84%.
Qatar First Bank was the most active in terms of volume (traded stock) as 1.19 million shares were exchanged at QAR 14.9 million. The stock shrank 3.3%.
Medicare Group made the highest liquidity of QAR 24.7 million through exchanging 237,200 shares. The stock rose 4%.
The bourse’s main index grew yesterday by 0.29% or 28 points to 9,883.59 points.
