QSE gains 49 pts in early trade

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose in Thursday’s early trading by 0.47% or 49 points to the level of 10,594.06 points.

Turnover reached QAR 19.5 million  by 10:05 AM Doha time as 418,000 shares were exchanged through 435 transactions.

The industrial sector leapt 1.01% as Industries Qatar led the green list with a growth of 2.24%. The stock also made the biggest liquidity of QAR 5 million.

Industries Qatar posted on Wednesday a net profit of QAR 1.96 billion for the first half of fiscal 2016, 18.3% down from QAR 2.4 billion reported for H1-15.

Dlala Holding topped losers after dropping by 1.37% through exchanging 3,300 shares at QAR 83,300.

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 181,400 shares. The stock rose by 1.05%.

The index fell yesterday by 1% or 106 points to the level of 10,545.01 points.
