Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Monday’s trading by 0.48% or 49.67 points to the level of 10,405.2 points.
The rise was due to the increase in Industries Qatar, Masraf Al Rayan, QIB and Qatar Insurance by 1.52%, 0.57%, 0.58% and 1.74% respectively.
Trading volume increased to 8.42 million shares from 2.44 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also rose to QAR 325.97 million from QAR 65.84 million.
The insurance sector was the best performer after rising by 1.27%, although Al Khaleej Takaful led the red list with a fall of 3.22%.
The telecom sector rose 1.09% as Ooredoo advanced 1.38%, the industrial sector leapt 0.84% as Qatari Investors Group rose 1.59%. The stock made the highest trading activity with a volume of 2.63 million shares exchanged at QAR 132.34 million.
The transportation and banking sectors also increased by 0.33% and 0.24% respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate sector fell alone by 0.34%.
