Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Sunday’s trading in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors, amid high liquidity.
The general index rose 52.2 points, or 0.57%, to finish at 9,140.19 points.
The bourse’s liquidity increased 6.2% to QAR 206.98 million on Sunday from QAR 194 million on Thursday, while the trading volume rose 7.3% to 8.37 million shares against 7.8 million in the previous session.
The industrial sector topped the QSE’s gainers adding 2.5%, followed by the real estate and telecommunication segments which grew 0.94% and 0.92%, respectively.
On the flipside, the transportation sector headed the bourse’s decliners falling 1.1%, followed by the insurance sector, which inched down 0.1%.
By the end of the session, Mesaieed’s stock, which levelled up 2.28%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 2.45 million shares, generating QAR 42.38 million in a liquidity.
