Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s trading, the first session after Eid Al-Adha holiday, on a positive note as its benchmark index rose by 0.55% or 55.31 points to the level of 10,592.54 points.
Trading volume reached 2 million shares exchanged by 10:00 AM Doha time through 1,259 transactions, making a turnover of QAR 121 million.
The index was backed by the rise in some blue chips as Industries Qatar, QIB, Ezdan and Barwa Real Estate grew by 1.12%, 0.59%, 0.45% and 0.56% respectively.
The bourse’s sectors rose collectively, headed by the insurance sector with an increase of 1.4%, followed by the telecom, banking and real estate sectors with a growth of 1.33%, 0.93% and 0.64% respectively.
