QSE gains 62.71 pts at Sunday’s close

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Sunday in the green zone, after gaining 0.62% or 62.71 points to reach 10,123.23 points.

Four sectors push QSE up, led by the banks sector which rose 0.97% as Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) grew 2.14%.

The transportation sector gained 0.92% after Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and Qatar Gas Transport Company Ltd (Nakilat) increased 1.46% and 1.04%, respectively.

The real estate sector went up 0.70% as Barwa levelled up 1.18%, followed by Ezdan Holding Group with 0.65%, and United Development Company with 0.26%.

On the flipside, three sector dropped, topped by the industrials sector with 0.29% after Gulf International Services lost 1.4%.

Traded volume fell to 8.56 million shares on Sunday against 14.03 million shares on Thursday, while liquidity declined to QAR 223.16 million from QAR 382.98 million.

Vodafone Qatar’ stock led in terms of trading volume with 2 million shares exchanged, while Masraf Al Rayan led in terms of traded value with a turnover of QAR 26.36 million.

Earlier on Sunday, the benchmark index shed 0.85% to reach 9,974.76 points.
