Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange ended Tuesday’s session in the green territory, as it rose 0.9% or 91.42 points to the level of 10,291.33 points.
Al Rayan Islamic Index leapt 1.22% to 3,877.5 points, and the All Share Index advanced 1.02% to 2,799.9 points.
Trading volume increased 15.8% to 19.42 million shares, versus 16.77 million shares exchanged on Tuesday.
Turnover decreased 2.68% to QAR 444.59 million ($122.121 million) from QAR 456.81 million ($125.4 million).
Telecom was the best performing sector after adding 1.41%, followed by real estate (+1.25%), banking (+1.14%), industrial (+1.05%), insurance (+0.87%) and transportation (+0.61%).
On the other hand, the consumer goods and services fell 0.34%.
Mazaya Qatar was the best performing share as it grew 9.95%, while Barwa topped losers after falling 5.47%.
Vodafone Qatar was the most traded share with 3.41 million shares changed hands, while Masraf Al Rayan made the biggest turnover with liquidity of QAR 68.76 million ($18.88 million).
The bourse’s main index declined yesterday 1.14% to 10,199.91 points.
