Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) increased 6.13% or 547.21 points, reaching 9,469.93 points in the week ended on Thursday, 13 July, against 8,922.72 points in the week before.
On a weekly basis, QSE’s market capitalisation grew 6.5% or QAR 31 billion to reach QAR 510.68 billion ($136.82 billion), against 479.69 billion ($128.52 billion).
Liquidity surged 7.3% to QAR 1.47 billion, against 1.37 billion in the previous week.
On the other hand, trading volume retreated 8.3% reaching 49.2 million shares, against 53.63 million shares in the week earlier.
On a weekly basis, transactions tumbled 3.6% to reach 17,740, against 18,400.
The stock prices of 43 companies went up out of 44, and one stock prices remained stable.
