QSE gains QAR 4.16bn in week

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed 0.63% or 65.41 points higher at 10,456.01 points during the week ended on 6 April 2017.

Liquidity retreated 21.37% reaching QAR 1.24 billion against QAR 1.57 billion the week before, as traded value dropped 31.5% to 40.54 million shares against 59.18 million.

The market value of the QSE levelled up 0.75% reaching QAR 560.51 billion ($339.06 million) by the end of the week, compared to QAR 556.35 billion ($431.21 million) by the end of the previous week, gaining QAR 4.16 billion.

Banks led in terms of value with 41.64%, followed by real estate with 20.37%, industrials with 15.15%, and telecoms with 11.54%.

Out of 44 companies, the stock prices of 20 companies rose, while 21 fell, and 3 companies maintained their previous prices.

Masraf Al Rayan led the week’s trading, acquiring 18.8% of the market’s total liquidity, followed by Ezdan Holding with 7.48%, and Vodafone Qatar with 6.67%.
