QSE goes up 65 pts at Thursday’s close

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday’s trading session with a positive performance after its benchmark surged 64.72 points, or 0.63%, to 10,287.70 points.

The QSE’s traded volume stood at 11.825 million shares, up from 9.26 million in the session before, while liquidity jumped to QAR 220.33 million, from QAR 140.29 million.

The real estate sector led gainers with 3.37% as Ezdan Holding Group’s stock grew 4.42%, while the banks and financial services sector inched up 0.81% after the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock increased 0.78%.

The industrials sector edged up 0.09% as Gulf International Services’ stock levelled up 0.64%.

On the flipside, the insurance sector declined 2.64% after the stocks of Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company and Qatar Insurance Company fell 10% and 0.95%, respectively.

Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock, which added 0.44%, topped the market in terms of both trading volume and value after 4.48 million shares were exchanged through 2,710 transactions at a turnover of QAR 61.96 million.
