Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index grew 27.99 points, or 0.28%, to close at 10,189.56 points on Thursday.
The QSE’s liquidity shrank to QAR 238.50 million on Thursday, compared to QAR 244.75 million on Wednesday, while trading volume fell to 9.65 million shares from 10.83 million in the previous session.
The insurance sector led risers with 2.54% after Qatar Insurance advanced 2.78%.
In the meantime, the industrials sector increased 0.28% as the heavyweight Industries Qatar went up 0.25%.
On the other hand, the banking sector declined 0.10%, pressured by Qatar Islamic Bank which slid 2.26%.
Islamic Holding Group topped gainers after adding 5.45%, while Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution headed decliners with 9.86%.
Qatar Gas Transport’s (Nakilat) stock, which upped 4.50%, registered the highest trading volume with 1.38 million shares, while Qatar Fuel’s (Woqod) stock, which rose 1.72%, led the QSE in terms of turnover of QAR 31.74 million.
