Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) general index rose 36.6 points, or 0.36%, to close at 10,226.69 points on Monday.
The transportation sector topped gainers with 1.1%, followed by the real estate sector which added 0.92%.
Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution led risers and jumped 10%, while Al Khalij Commercial Bank headed decliners after sliding 6.9%.
The QSE’s liquidity hiked 38% to QAR 314.6 million on Monday, from QAR 227.98 million in the previous session, while trading volume increased 3.7% to 8.61 million shares, against 8.3 million on Sunday.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, up 0.83%, led the QSE in terms of turnover with QAR 50.47 million, while United Development’s stock, which fell 0.26%, registered the highest trading volume of 30.06 million shares.
